Today’s project is a festive Open Lattice poinsettia card that brings texture, dimension, and classic Christmas color to your craft table. The lattice looks woven like a basket, but it’s actually created with simple strips layered to form an open, airy background. It’s a beautiful technique that looks intricate while staying stash‑friendly and approachable for all skill levels.
The star of the card is the Pretty Poinsettia Dies. Each petal layer is a different size, so when you stack them, the Real Red blooms build into full, dimensional flowers. I paired them with Garden Green leaves and a touch of gold to give the whole card that traditional holiday sparkle.

📏 Project Measurements
- A 11” x 4-¼” piece of Basic White cardstock scored at 5-½”
- A piece of Basic White cardstock that measures 4-¼” x 5-½”
- Several ¼” strips of Basic White cardstock
- A 2” x 3” piece of Real Red cardstock to layer sentiment
- A 2” x 3” piece of Basic White cardstock so that sentiment can be stamped on
- 4” x 6” piece of Real Red so that you can die cut poinsettia petals
- 3” x 4” piece of Garden Green cardstock for leaves.
- 2” x 4” piece of Gold Foil for stems and middles of poinsettias.
