The Nested Essentials Dies have become one of my most‑used tools, and yesterday’s sketch reminded me why. The rectangular dies are especially versatile — they give sentiments a clean home, and because the sizes graduate so beautifully, it’s effortless to create a sentiment layer and a coordinating mat that feels polished without extra fuss.
For this sketch, I used Paper Play Sketches #21 and the second‑smallest rectangle for both cards. Same die, two different interpretations — exactly what I love about stash‑friendly crafting.

This card leans into the sketch’s clean lines while letting the printed base do the visual lifting.

- Hydrangea Hue panel (4″ × 5‑¼”)
- Basic White embossed with the Eyelet folder (3‑¾” × 5″)

- Two rectangles cut from Paper Medley DSP using the Nested Essentials Dies
- White ribbon dyed with Hydrangea Hue ink

This version softens the sketch with texture and tone‑on‑tone layers, while the rectangles keep the design anchored.
