This week’s sketch (Paper Play Sketches 31) sparked three different cards — each one a reminder that sketches are maps, not rules. They’re starting points for creativity, not boundaries.

The first card follows the sketch closely, using pieces from past kits and Paper Pumpkin. The other two take creative detours: one with a coastal theme and another with soft pastels and daisies. Each shows how a single layout can lead to completely different moods and stories.

🪶 My Message TO You

When you sit down to craft, give yourself permission to be inspired, not pressured. Sketches are ideas waiting to be interpreted. Flip them, stretch them, simplify them — whatever feels right for your project.

And if you’ve got scraps, leftover kit pieces, or bits of ephemera tucked away, this is your invitation to use them. Those small pieces often become the most interesting layers.

🌟 Closing Thought

Creativity grows when we let go of “should” and embrace “could.”
So this weekend, pull out your scraps, revisit a favorite sketch, and see where it takes you.
