Creating Christmas cards is one of my favorite parts of the season, and today’s project in my Christmas Mini Series is inspired by the talented Nikki Hart from Nikki’s Cards. I loved her layout so much that I knew I wanted to recreate it with my own twist — especially using the Festive Cheer Dies & Stamps and the Perennial Postage Dies.
This card is a great example of how much versatility we have in our craft rooms when we use graduated shape dies. Whether you’re working with rectangles, circles, postage shapes, or stitched frames, these dies make it easy to build a balanced, eye‑catching layout without overthinking the design.
✨ Elevating a Simple Layout
One of the reasons I love this card is how easy it is to elevate with just a few thoughtful touches:
- Embossing Folder Texture The Swirls of Magic Embossing Folder adds instant movement and interest to the Basic White panels. Embossing is one of the quickest ways to make a card feel special without adding extra layers.
- Metallic Accents A little shine goes a long way. The Timeless Metallic Specialty Paper adds just the right amount of sparkle behind the ornaments and ties in beautifully with the gold tops and bows.
- Use Those Scraps! This design is stash‑friendly — all those embossed panels are cut from Basic White scraps. I love projects that help us use what we already have while still creating something polished and festive.
