In my latest Facebook Live (also now on YouTube!), I shared how to make a warm, seasonal card using the upcoming Painted Patch DSP and Painted Pumpkin Dies — both available September–December 2026. This project is more than just cozy fall layers: it features what I call the Center Pop‑Up Fun Fold, an interactive design that adds surprise and dimension while still being stash‑friendly and easy to recreate.

✂️ Step‑by‑Step Instructions
- Card base: Started with a half sheet of Basic White cardstock (8‑1/2″ x 5‑1/2″), scored at 4‑1/4″.
- Frame layer: Cut a 4″ x 5‑1/4″ piece of Painted Patch DSP. From the center, trim out a rectangle leaving a 3/4″ margin all around.
- Layered rectangle: Mount the cut‑out rectangle (approx. 2″ x 3″) onto Cajun Craze cardstock measuring 2‑1/8″ x 3‑1/8″. (I turned the rectangle to the opposite site of the cut out rectangle for interest)
- Front panel: Adhere a full 4″ x 5‑1/4″ DSP panel to the card base, then layer the framed DSP piece on top.
- Center accent: Add the smaller rectangle back into the center for a dimensional, window‑style look.
- Pumpkin details: Die‑cut pumpkins from the DSP using the Painted Pumpkin Dies and arrange them around the focal point.
🎨 Design Notes
- The framed DSP technique creates depth without extra bulk.
- Using Cajun Craze cardstock adds warmth and contrast to the lighter DSP.
- The Center Pop‑Up Fun Fold makes the card interactive and memorable.
- The pumpkin die‑cuts tie the whole design together with seasonal charm.
🌟 Why You’ll Love This Project
This card is stash‑friendly, quick to assemble, and perfect for fall greetings. The Center Pop‑Up Fun Fold adds a delightful surprise inside, making it extra special whether you’re sending a note to a sweet friend or simply saying hello.
