\u00a0Crafting Beautiful Cards, One Project at a Time<\/b><\/h2>\n

Welcome to my <\/span>Kit Together<\/span><\/i> series, where we explore creative ways to use The Butterfly Garden Kit to make meaningful, handmade cards. Each project begins with the original kit design and then expands into\u00a0 variations using supplies from my craft space. I hope that whether you\u2019re new to card making or a seasoned crafter, you\u2019ll find inspiration, tips, and easy\u2011to\u2011follow ideas to spark your creativity.<\/span><\/p>\n

This Card Creation:\u00a0 Kindness in Full Bloom<\/b><\/h2>\n

Supplies Used<\/b><\/h3>\n
    \n
  • A 4-1\/4\u201d x 11\u201d Piece of Basic White cardstock. Score at 5-\u00bd\u201d<\/span><\/li>\n
  • Cut out the roses from one of the card bases in the kit.<\/span><\/li>\n
  • A 4\u201d x 5-\u00bc\u201d layer of Garden Green cardstock<\/span><\/li>\n
  • The back of the card that the\u00a0 roses were cut from cut to 3-\u00be\u201d x 5\u201d<\/span><\/li>\n
  • Small white butterfly from kit. (opt)<\/span><\/li>\n
  • Brushed Brass Butterflies – they are on the last chance list<\/li>\n
  • 3\u201d x 1-\u00bc\u201d Basic White strip for sentiment (\u201cThanks for being you\u201d)\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
  • Garden Green ink from kit<\/span><\/li>\n
  • Gold Striped 3\/8″ (1 CM) Mesh Ribbon<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

     <\/p>\n

    How I Created This Card<\/b><\/h3>\n
      \n
    • I Cut, scored and folded my card base out of Basic White cardstock.<\/li>\n
    • I cut the soft pastel green card base with the pink blooms in half.<\/li>\n
    • I cut the blooms including the leaves out of the card half.<\/li>\n
    • Then I cut the back of that same card base to 3-3\/4″ x 5″ which will become a layer that the blooms will sit on.<\/li>\n
    • Out of Garden Green cardstock (one of the coordination colors as per illustrated instructions), that measured 4″ x 5-1\/4″. This is the bottom layer and can be adhered to the front of the white top folding card base.<\/li>\n
    • Then adhere the soft green layer onto the Garden Green layer.<\/li>\n
    • I looped some of the\u00a0Gold Striped 3\/8″ (1 CM) mesh ribbon behind the cut out blooms.<\/li>\n
    • Using dimensionals the blooms are adhered on the soft green layer.<\/li>\n
    • Using Garden Green ink the sentiment “Thanks for being you was stamped on the 3\u201d x 1-\u00bc\u201d Basic White strip. That was adhered directly to the card.<\/span><\/li>\n
    • I embellished with the brushed Brass Butterflies.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
