I am always excited to see how I can use products from my craft space as well as the supplies to create more and different cards.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Here are a few of the\u00a0 cards I made using April 2025\u2019s Paper Pumpkin titled Inked Occasions and products from my space.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-2126 alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/thepapermotif.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/IMG_0746-1-1024x937.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"255\" height=\"233\" \/><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This is a gate fold. I used part of a card base and\u00a0 the word \u201chugs\u201d from the Paper Pumpkin and\u00a0 some gold foil and basic white and berry burst cardstock from my studio.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-2127 alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/thepapermotif.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/IMG_0747-829x1024.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"230\" height=\"284\" \/>\u00a0<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">I started with a Basic White cardbase. I then cut a layer (4\u201d x 5-\u00bc\u201d) and embossed it with the Birchwood embossing folder. I adhered this embossed layer to the cardbase.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">When I cut the card bases provided in the Paper Pumpkin Kit, I had strips of cardstock remaining. I then adhered them across the lower right corner of the embossed layer.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">I also used the heart die that I chose from Sale-abration earlier this year, to cut a heart shape from a scrap of\u00a0 Highland Heather. I then embellished with some Gold Adhesive Backed Dots. I also used the word \u201chugs\u201d from the Paper Pumpkin as my sentiment.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-2128 alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/thepapermotif.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/IMG_0748-1024x886.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"294\" height=\"255\" \/><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">I cut apart one of the card bases provided in the Paper Pumpkin and adhered it to a basic White card base. I then adhered to flourish ephemera to the front of the card and embellished with some rhinestones Basic Jewels.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-2129 alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/thepapermotif.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/IMG_0749-900x1024.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"267\" height=\"303\" \/><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">I cut an 8-\u00bd\u201d x 11\u201d sheet of Berry Burst cardstock to 5-\u00bd\u201d x 8-\u00bd\u201d, with the 8-\u00bd side facing up. I scored at 3\u201d and 7-\u00bc\u201d. After securing the fold lines I had a gate fold.\u00a0 I cut apart\u00a0 a card base which provided\u00a0 two panels. One measuring\u00a0 2-\u00be\u201d\u00a0 x 5-\u00bc\u201d and the other 1\u201d x 5-\u00bc\u201d.\u00a0 I\u00a0 adhered the 2-\u00be\u201d x 5-\u00bc\u201d cardstock panel to the 3\u201dx -\/2\u201d part of the Berry Burst card base.\u00a0 I also adhered the smaller decorative panel to the narrow panel at the right side panel.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">I took a long strip of Basic White and cut it to 9\u201d x 1\u201d. I also layered this white strip on a strip of gold foil thus creating a belly band. Then I attached the gold sentiment \u201chugs\u201d to the belly band and covered the seam where the belly band was attached.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-2131 alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/thepapermotif.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/IMG_0751-805x1024.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"239\" height=\"304\" \/><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">I used an A2 sized Basic White card base for this card. I then used a 4-\u00bc\u201d x 5-\u00bc\u201d layer cut from Gorgeous Grape card stock. I used a 3-\u00be\u201d x 5\u201d layer of Gold foil and layered that on the Gorgeous Grape. I cut\u00a0 a 3-\u00bc\u201d x 4-\u00be\u201d piece of one of the decorative card bases provided in the Paper Pumpkin. I embellished the front of the card with a butterfly and some gems from my stash. I used the \u201cThinking of you\u201d stamp provided in the Paper Pumpkin.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-2130 alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/thepapermotif.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/IMG_0750-850x1024.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"263\" height=\"317\" \/><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Again I started with an A2 size card base. I embossed a piece of white card stock that measured 4\u201d x 5-\u00bc\u201d in my eyelet embossing folder. This creates so much texture. Then I layered a 3-\u00be\u201d\u00a0 x 3-\u00bc\u201d of Gorgeous Grape cardstock on that embossed layer.\u00a0 I had a 3-\u00bd\u201d x 3\u201d piece of decorative card base from the paper Pumpkin that I adhered to the Gorgeous Grape cardstock. I also had a strip of the gold foil that I cut down and adhered it to the right side of the decorative panel.\u00a0 I embellished some items in my stash and used the \u201cThinking of you\u201d sentiment from the Paper Pumpkin.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I always feel challenged to use the materials in the monthly Paper Pumpkins to create the intended cards as well as\u00a0 alternatives.
