Sometimes I get so inspired that I design many cards. Today was no exception!<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Here is the card sketch I used today. I\u00a0 found the sketch on page 22 of our annual catalog.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-2025 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/thepapermotif.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/IMG_0547-801x1024.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"255\" height=\"326\" \/><\/p>\n<p><b>Using the card sketch to create a card design I:<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">From looking at the sketch I knew the card base was a top folding A2 size card. So I knew that the card front measurements were 5-\u00bd\u201d x 4-\u00bc\u201d<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">I most often cut a 4\u201dx 5-\u00bc\u201d piece of cardstock or Designers Series Paper. As I was trying to decide on which Designer Series Paper I wanted to use, a thought came to me. Hmmm I think I want to use some scraps or maybe some of the Designer Series Paper I earned during Sale-A-Bration. And so I did. I cut the\u00a0 4\u201dx 5-\u00bc layers.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">I knew from the sketch that there were DSP or cardstock. I cut those strips \u00be\u201d x 3-\u00be\u201d. I adhered them to the layer already laid down on the card base.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">I cut a 2-\u00bc\u201d x 3\u201d layer of cardstock or DSP. This will be the base layer for the sentiment.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">I cut a 2\u201d x 2-\u00be\u201d piece of Basic White cardstock. I decorated this white layer and\u00a0 for a sentiment I dug into my stash. I re-discovered some of the sentiment\u00a0 cutouts from the GREETINGS FOR ALL MIX &amp; MATCH EPHEMERA PACK. I definitely used them.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-2026 alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/thepapermotif.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/IMG_0550-762x1024.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"216\" height=\"290\" \/><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In creating this card I used some Designer Series Paper I had in my stash. This paper was a prize for a sales challenge awhile back. I also used Melon Mambo Cardstock and ink.
