I either forget about it or the scrap falls to the bottom of my basket and I fail to use it. Then when product is about to retire or I am organizing my studio I find the scraps. I don’t feel good about tossing the scraps so I try to use them. I have decided to share my journey using scraps with you.

So below are three scraps of DSP I found. These scraps are perfect for card layers.

This layer is one of the sides of a sheet of the Hues of Happines designer series paper. It originally measured 6″ x 12″ so I cut it to 4″ x 5-1/4″ making it a perfect bottom card layer. I simply added a 3-3/4″ x 5″ piece of the Dainty Designs DSP that was left over from Sale a-bration.

This is the card I created after embellishing.

I also found three 6″ x 6″ scraps of this DSP. I am not sure why I hadn’t used it before?? One side of the paper is Poppy Parade with some yellow stars printed on it. The reverse side is Poppy Parade, Petal Pink, and Basic White. This side of the DSP looks like it was created with ink and blending brushes. So I made a card using two of the 6″ x 6″ sheets.

This is the card I created. I cut the Poppy Parade/star side on one sheet to 4″ x 5-1/4″ and used it as the bottom layer for my card. Then I used the reverse side of the DSP as the top layer (3-3/4″ x 5″). Then I embellishe the card.

I found this piece of DSP that was from the Dainty Designs DSP via Sale a-bration. I used the side of the paper that looked like ink applied with a blending brush as my top layer (3-3/4″ x 5″) I layered that on a piece of Basic Black and on a white card base (A2) size.

After embellishing, this is what my card looked like.

I hope that this event (Scaps or Stash also referred to a S.
