The card will easily fit in a medium envelope.

I cut a 4”x 5-1/4” piece of Basic White cardstock (#159276). I used the largest Scalloped Contour die (#155560)to create scalloped edges on the basic white layer. When I ran the white layer with the die in my machine, the die moved. Thus I didn’t have the scalloped edges on of the sides. So, I just improvised and made all the sides look the same.

I used a piece of light blue designer series paper that I had in my stash for the second layer of the card. That layer measured 3-3/4” x 5”. I used the second largest scalloped die to cut scalloped edges. Of course I adhered that layer on the Basic White layer.

I cut a large oval out of Night of Navy cardstock

I cut a slightly smaller oval out of Basic White cardstock. This is where I stamped the tree image.

I also cut a 4” x 5-1/4” piece of Basic White cardstock out for the inside message.

I stamped the inside panel with the sentiment “friendships refresh the soul” from the Beauty of Friendship stamp set. I used Night of Navy Ink (#147110).

Next I attended to the basic white oval. I used Early Expresso ink (#147114) to stamp the tree trunk with branches.

I then used some scrap paper to mask off the bottom ¼ of the oval. This area will remain white to suggest snow mounds.

I used my blending brush to blend (#153611) in Nighty of Navy ink (#147110) on the rest of the oval. I tried to blend so that the Night of Navy color was darker at the top of the oval and lighter downwards. Yes, I blended right over the tree.

I used the shadow stamp in the stamp set and Smokey Slate ink.(#147113).

All that was left fo do was to stamp my sentiment “Thank You” and embellish. I use15814d white ribbon (#151326) and matte dots (#t15814) o embellish.

Beauty of Friendship Winter Card I used the Beauty of Friendship stamp set (#t154983) to creat a set of cards with scenes I felt implied the four seasons. Spring, summer, fall and winter are the scenes I was going for.
