She offered me a cup of coffee. I had to hold the cup coffee in my hand because I didn\u2019t see any coasters &#8211; of course I would not sit a drink hot or cold on bare furniture. So as I was planning out my Christmas gifts I decided to make her a set of coasters for a gift.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Materials I used:<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>4 ceramic tiles that measured 4\u201d x \u00a04\u201d. I bought them at the local home goods store. They were $.18 per tile.<\/li>\n<li>A 4-ounce bottle of Mod Podge.<\/li>\n<li>A small foam paint brush to apply the Mod Podge.<\/li>\n<li>(4) 4\u201d round pieces of cork that I had in my craft box.<\/li>\n<li>Liquid Glue<\/li>\n<li>Designer Series Paper<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>My procedure:<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>I applied a coat of the Mod Podge onto the ceramic tile and allowed it to dry.<\/li>\n<li>Then I glued a piece of Designer Series Paper on the tile so that it was covered.<\/li>\n<li>I used a letter sticker to decorate the covered ile. The letter sticker is the beginning letter of my friend\u2019s last name.<\/li>\n<li>The I glued a 4\u201d round piece of cork on the back of the covered tile.<\/li>\n<li>Finally, I applied another 2 coats of the Mod Podge on the top of the tile.<\/li>\n<li>This procedure was repeated making four coasters<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Recen\u00a0tly I was visiting a friend.
