I saw Jennifer McGuire make a Pop Up card awhile back. When I saw the Peaceful Garden designer series paper I knew I had to try the Pop Up card.I’d like to say I am drawn to the designer series paper but then I also love  the Peaceful Greenery 3D embossing folder. Wait. I love the Peace on Earth stamp set and the dies.

Clearly I love this whole suite including the glitter paper and the gorgeous ribbon.

Here is my card.

Stampin’ Up Supplies

  • (2) pieces of Misty Moonlight cardstock that measure 4-¼” x 5-½”
  • With the largest ovalish die cut the center out of one of the 4-¼” x 5-½” pieces of the Misty Moonlight cardstock. This will be the front panel
  • (2) pieces of Misty Moonlight that measure 2” x 4-¼” . With the short side facing upward in your Simply Scored or Paper Trimmer score at ½”, 1”, 1-½”. Fold in accordion style. These will be the pop out mechanisms.
  • A 4-¼” x 5-½” piece of any of the designs in the Peaceful Garden designer series paper pack. Adhere this on to the solid piece of Misty Moonlight cardstock.
  • With the long side of the layered Misty Moonlight cardstock facing upward, adhere a pop up mechanism to each side of this piece of layered cardstock.
  • Place the largest ovalish sentiment die in the 3D peaceful garden embossing folder. It will fit in the designated place nicely.
  • Place a 4” x 5-¼” piece of Basic White cardstock in the Peaceful Greenery on top of the side where the die is sitting and run through your Cut and Emboss Machine.
  • You can now adhere the embossed white layer onto the 4-¼” x 5-½” piece of Misty Moonlight that has the middle cut out.
  • You will need a 1-¼” x 5-⅜” of acetate (window sheets). Adhere each edge into one of the folds of the accordion folded pop up mechanism.
  • Out of a scrap of Basic White cut with the Peaceful Garden dies the dove that is in flight.
  • Also with the dies use the smallest sprig die and  cut out the sprig out blue glitter paper.
  • Attach the sprig to the mouth of the dove. Attach the dove to the acetate.
  • With the ribbon make a bow. Place on card with a glue dot. I placed it on the upper left of the card.
  • Using your versamarc ink stamp the sentiment stamp “Peace, Love & Joy”  on to a strip of Misty Moonlight.
  • With the white embossing powder and your heat toll emboss the sentiment. I used dimensionals and placed the sentiment on the lower right of the card.
  • With the star dies I cut 5 stars out of glitter cardstock and used them as embellishments.
